Former Physician Accused of Assault Allegations Against 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have announced that a ex- doctor has been charged with performing assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of sexual offences – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
One senior prosecutor stated, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
The charges come after what investigators called a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the 45 sexual offences comprise:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
