Just as bad weather hit the north-west the prior day, the home side swept the visitors away at the their home ground. It was a statement three-nil victory for Andrée Jeglertz’s side thanks to goals from Rebecca Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Hemp. It was a display that truly announced their leadership claims as they consolidated their place at the WSL pinnacle.
