The New Animated Series' Introductory Sequence Selected the Incorrect Critical Role Track

This latest animated series, the newest animated series by Critical Role, revealed an exciting opening credits. It features the beloved group of outcasts, outcasts, and criminals fighting hard and taking names, while also hinting at several heart-wrenching backstories for key figures including the voice actor's mage Caleb, and another actor's orc warlock, Fjord.

All in all, the opening appears stunning. But I couldn't help feeling that an element was missing in the music selection.

This sequence uses "Welcome to Wildemount", an exceptional composition created by producer and singer the talented musician. It's a track originating from the soundtrack album of that title, the second release put out by the production company's record label their music brand. It's a great sentimental option, and I suspect that devotees of the sequel series will love its inclusion.

Personally, The series' opening doesn't quite capture the hype and excitement that accompanied the show's live-play sessions. "It's Your Turn", composed by singer-songwriter the artist, was an instant classic for me when it was first revealed in that year, and it improved further when cast member the performer wrote words to the melody for the animated Campaign 2 opening in 2018.

Featuring vocals from one actress, another performer, a co-star, as well as the writer, the track was memorable and fun. Back then, I hadn't even watched the follow-up series yet, but it was so infectious that I still saved it on my device. This track that excites you before you start an episode of adventurous fun.

The Mighty Nein's opening with "Welcome to Wildemount" fails to hit the same chords in my opinion. It's a grand composition, but based on my understanding of this party, I can't help but feel that its mood is somewhat mismatched.

Naturally, the creators has already said that the animated show will have a few surprises and differences from the actual-play campaign. A tonal change for its intro seems to be among these.

This animated adventure will be released on Prime Video from Nov. 19. If you can't wait before that, or want a head start to learn about the characters of the second series, the actual play are accessible on the audio platform and the video site.
